DAY 1
Fly from a UK airport to Siem Reap.
Days 2, 3 & 4 SIEM REAP
3 nights accommodation at Pavilion D'Orient and 2 days with a guide and driver exploring the breath taking temples of Angkor. Our guides will bring Angkor to life for you.
You'll visit the most famous temple Angkor Wat as well as Angkor Thom, Bayon and also Ta Prohm. Ta Phrom is overgrown with the roots and limbs of Banyan Trees and famously featured in the Tombraider films! There will also be plenty of time to explore some of the more remote temples and visit the floating villages on the Tonle Sap. For those more active travellers we can arrange bicycle tours which are a great way to get away from the crowds!
DAYS 4, 5 & 6 BATTAMBANG
After lunch you will be transferred to Cambodias second city of Battambang, for two nights at the stylish colonial style La Villa hotel. From your hotel you will be able to walk into the heart of town to explore the bustling market and colonial architecture while experiencing some of the best street food in Cambodia and a sunset ride on a famous bamboo train into the surrounding paddy fields.
DAYS 6, 7 & 8 PHNOM PENH
Following a late morning transfer you will have two nights to experience the fascinating recent history of Cambodia and its capital Phnom Penh. During a full day tour you will visit the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, Emerald Buddha and the National Museum. Youll also have the chance to visit Toul Sleng, formerly used by the Pol Pot regime as a detention centre, and the killing fields. This is a moving example of the difficulties faced by Cambodians between 1975 & 1979. Accommodation is at the Pavilion hotel.
DAYS 8, 9, 10 & 11 CARDAMOM MOUNTAINS
A morning transfer from Phnom Penh through the Cardamom Mountains in Cambodias remote South West. You will take a short boat trip along a peaceful river until you get to 4 Rivers Floating Lodge, where you will have three nights to relax, explore and take in the idyllic surroundings. A variety of activities, based around the waterways and its surrounding nature and wildlife, are available.
DAYS 11, 12, 13 & 14 KEP
A morning transfer gets you into the shadow of Bokor Mountain, where you will be staying for the next three days at the sleepy Nataya beach resort. Not far from the riverside town of Kampot this is a great place to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery or alternatively go for a sunset riverside drink in timeless Kampot or explore the crab markets and restored villas of Kep.
DAYS 14 & 15 PHNOM PENH
Transfer back for a final night in Phnom. Staying at The 252 you are in a great location to wander the streets and explore the riverfront bars and restaurants.
