Sarah's Biog

Sarah has nearly a decade of working as a travel specialist under her belt.

She’s known at ETG HQ for her love of high-end hotels and slooow travel. Her most memorable moments while exploring the world – she’s been to 80 countries (and counting) – are journeys trundling along train tracks, from the wonderful toy train in Shimla to overnight trains in Vietnam. Capella Hanoi and Capella Bangkok are at the top of her hotel hotlist, as are the gorgeous Zannier hideaways, Bai San Ho and Phum Baitang.

Not one to shy away from adventure, Sarah loves being out and about in nature and walking along hiking trails – the emptier, the better – surrounded by dramatic mountains, lakes and coastlines. Naturally, this makes her a great fit for ETG, along with her appreciation for luxury hotels – she’s got a keen eye for what makes a good one great – and, of course, her deep love for Asia.

Sarah has a real knack for figuring out logistics, so say the word, and she’ll help you find a smooth route (most likely involving a train or two, if that’s also your cup of tea).

Food is also one of Sarah’s main interests and her culinary adventures are just as exciting as her travel ones. Ranging from sizzling street food and simple beach bars to fine-dining and even top celebrity chefs' experiences, she’s tried it all and knows what works well – and what doesn’t – during an adventure in Asia.

Sarah specialises in a variety of countries: Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, India, Bhutan, Indonesia and The Maldives.
