Experience the Punakha valley from a completely different perspective: white water rafting the glacial waters of the Po Chhu river. The river, also known as the Father river, offers a gentle rafting experience and spectacular views of the fertile valleys. On a typical day, you'll paddle for 16km over several 2-4 rapids and end at the confluence right by the iconic Punakha Dzong - in all, you’ll spend around two hours meandering down the river. It can be combined with a walk or cycle trail back to your accommodation or your driver can simply drop you off and meet you at the other end.
