Set within 10 acres in the lush Paro Valley and close to many temples and monasteries, Zhiwa Ling combines comfort, culture and tradition. The architecture is typically Bhutanese: the lobby has colourful, intricately carved pillars and the property even has its own temple.
The hotel restaurant serves good food, with all-day dining in a relaxed setting and also room service available. Enjoy a buffet breakfast in the morning and a three-course meal in the evening and, if the weather permits, you can opt to dine on the outdoor terrace. We recommend unwinding with a drink by the fireplace at the Mad Monk Bar, too. The property is completed by a dedicated yoga studio, tea, and meditation house and spa.
One-bedroom and junior suites are available, and some have lovely views of the Paro Valley and surrounding mountains. They are spread across 8 cottages, linked to the main building and with either a king or two queen beds and a sitting area. The bathrooms have tubs and wonderful underfloor heating.
