Air Passenger Duty to be scrapped….for under 16s

George Osborne announced in his Autumn Statement that Air Passenger Duty will be scrapped for under 12-year-olds, with the exemption of being extended to under 16-year-olds from 2016.

This means cheaper flights for children, and cheaper holidays for families!

Willie Walsh, chief executive of International Airlines Group, says that “APD should be axed in its entirety not just for children.”
