We are really pleased to confirm that we are holding a Sri Lanka evening at The Royal Overseas League in St James’ London on Wednesday 20th Feb. Building on our successful Burma evenings last year, we have moved to a bigger venue (and thanks to the fantastic Royal Overseas League for partnering with us on this).
Sri Lankan Airlines have kindly agreed to fly over Herman Gunaratne to speak at our event – telling anecdotes from his most recent book – The Plantation Raj. If that isn’t enough, we’ve also got Kandyan Dancers, live music, tea tasting by Tim d’Offray of Postcard Teas of Bond Street, a photographic exhibition of the work of Mark Forbes – one of our star guides in Sri Lanka and of course Sri Lankan nibbles and drink!
Tickets are £15 which includes a donation to Sarvodaya – a Sri Lankan charity and grassroots movement. Click here to book for the event and find out more.
