The travel section of the Guardian last Saturday published an excellent article by travel journalist Ben Tarring about his family visit to Sri Lanka. I thought it was an excellent piece and we were proud to have been involved in suggesting and planning the trip. Have a read here.
I think Ben’s experiences reflected the superb work done by our guide, Sid, in and around the forgotten nooks and crannies of Sri Lanka. He really is a one off – bringing a side of Sri Lanka that most Sri Lankan’s, let alone most tourists, have never heard of. Sid manages to make these extra-ordinary adventures safe and accessible. We don’t organise that many as people don’t know what to expect but any family looking for an adventure and an eye opening experience for their children (and themselves!) would be well advised to consider it.
