We recommend you download the Vamoos travel app for easy access to all your ETG travel documents. Completely free and easy-to-use, Vamoos is an excellent way to stay organised on your holiday. The app is entirely optional and your holiday will not be affected if you do not have a smartphone or would rather not use the app. However, you will be able to access your travel itinerary, your E-tickets, a 5-day weather forecast, restaurant recommendations and maps of the areas you are visiting.  Once downloaded, all features are available offline to help you save on your data usage.  Once your holiday is confirmed we will send you your login and password details to access your holiday documents and all the other useful features.

This ambitious app creates a digital journal of your travels so you can look back on your trips on an interactive map. The app tracks you as you go, marking a red line along a map on the exact route you take; the app also monitors your speed and altitude, making it great for adventure travellers, though it’s just as fun to look back at your route around a city. You can add pictures, video, audio and text along the way, creating a multimedia travel diary you can share.

Google Translate is a useful app to have on your 'phone in Asia.  The translation is not always completely accurate but it will help you get by.  And when you have access to wifi you can also use the camera feature - hold your phone over the text and the app will convert it into English before your eyes.

Tripcast is an app that allows travellers to share their photos privately with friends and family back home.  You can create a travel journal of sorts, by not only collecting the photos and sharing them, but also plotting them on map, and even inviting fellow travellers to build albums with you.
