A Flavour of Malaysia & Singapore
Focusing on the region's varied food, you’ll get to grips with the culture and history while trying some delicious meals and snacks!
Colourful spices and tasty snacks, exotic fruits and fresh vegetables: the Malaysian morning markets are a feast for the senses. Take in the picturesque street scenes, admire the vibrant Indochinese and Malaysian architectural styles and greet the local vendors as you wander by.
After a traditional Nasi lemak breakfast at the elegant century-old Kampung Baru residence, you’ll make your way to the Chow Kit morning market where you can wander through alleyways brimming with tasty treats and bargain with vendors: your guide will let you know what’s what. Sample curry laksa (a Chow Kit specialty) at a local coffee house and arrive in KL’s charming old city centre. While you’re admiring the view, surround yourself in cheery marigolds arranged by the local garland makers. The tour ends with a cup of tea, as all tours should: Teh Tarik is a sweet and elaborately brewed cup usually found in close proximity to the Indian Mosque, served with Indian snacks.
