A luxury resort on the South China Sea with a large swimming pool, onsite spa and fitness suite, Miri Marriot makes for a great stay between a visit to Mulu World Heritage National Park and a tour of Brunei.
Spacious, comfortable and fitted with modern amenities, Miri Marriot is a good option for anyone who wants to rejuvenate by a large pool and get a good night’s sleep with all the modern comforts. The ocean-facing rooms are particularly good because of their views, and all bedrooms are well-appointed with air-conditioning, wifi and en suites. There are some interconnecting rooms which make the resort suitable for families.
In summary, this is a very comfortable option for those wanting a luxurious base before or after their Mulu experience. It offers a lovely seaside setting for some relaxation and other wellness activities.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
