Mulu National Park features thick green rainforest and phenomenal cave systems for climbing and exploring with underground rivers and clear springs for taking a dip. White water rafting, night cruises, and jungle treks are all part of the fun. This area of Borneo is remote, so if you have come this far, you’re probably here for an adventure in the wild.

Resting on stilts, rooms here offer a unique waterfront experience connected by wooden walkways. Each room features a balcony and all the usual five-star amenities, including high-speed internet access. This is no mean feat considering the remoteness of this exceptional area.

We would highly recommend this resort and spa for families and couples exploring the jungle and caves. If your days are filled with trekking, climbing, swimming, and getting dirty in the jungle, the Mulu Marriott will be waiting with a luxurious bath or spa treatment when you get back.

Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
