Located 45 minutes by boat off Sabah’s east coast, Pom Pom Island Resort is one of the best options for scuba diving while enjoying a great level of comfort. With both green and hawksbill turtles coming to nest on the beaches, and a wealth of colourful marine-life under the water’s surface, this is a divers dream.
Situated within easy reach of a multitude of dive sites and other islands, there is something for everyone here be it diving, sunbathing, kayaking or trekking through the jungles of nearby Bohaydulong Island. The large buffet restaurant located in the centre of the island caters to most tastes too, with western food on offer alongside the more traditional Malay and Chinese cuisines. There is also a spa, beach volleyball court and a 5-star PADI Diving Centre.
The rooms spread throughout the island and lagoon cover three categories, Garden Villas, Beach Villas and Water Villas. All with their private balconies, air conditioning and en suites, and the water villas are particularly wonderful for honeymooners, with romantic views across the white sands and the Celebes Sea.
Pom Pom Island Resort offers excellent value and comfortable accommodation while you enjoy what you are there for, world-class diving.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
