Seven Terraces was opened in 2008, a chic and loving restoration of seven 19th century Anglo Chinese terraces with impressive grounds and facilities. Intimate and welcoming, its romantic furnishings are complemented by cool granite, wood, and the beautiful scent of frangipani. Seven Terraces has won awards for heritage conservation and service; staying here is a treat.

Penang is a thriving location for Malay history and heritage, fabulous dining, and of course, had sandy beaches. The capital, Georgetown, is a fascinating place: visit Penang Hill via funicular railway, soak up some sun at Batu Ferringhi, visit the impressive Blue Mansion, or grab a bargain at a night bazaar. While you’re exploring Penang, returning to your hotel will be a pleasure: on the grounds, there’s a lap pool, a full bar, an Asian fusion dining room, and beautiful areas for sitting and relaxing.

The 18 suites are enormous and elegant, with original carved furniture, king-size beds, spacious marble bathrooms with rain showers, and lots of natural light.  Choose from a 53 square metre single-level suite or the extra roomy 85 square metres double-storey variation. The grand apartments are stunning if you’re travelling in a group.

Seven Terraces is a unique hotel and they seem to be getting it right, which means you will enjoy good standards of service, cuisine, and luxury facilities. The luxury, of course, comes at a price, so if your budget is limited, you might just admire the terraces from a distance.

Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
