Day-to-Day Itinerary : Luxury & Adventure at Angkor, Saigon & The Beach

Day 1 Depart the UK

Depart the UK on an overnight flight to Cambodia

Day 2 & 3 Siem Reap & The Temples of Angkor (Cambodia)

On arrival in Siem Reap you'll transfer to your accommodation where you'll stay for 4 nights. The afternoon of arrival is free for you  to enjoy the luxurious surroundings, splash in the pool, be pampered in the spa or try some delicious Cambodia cuisine.

An incredible day of sightseeing will follow, beginning at dawn as you venture out to explore the Temples of Angkor with your guide. This day will be tailored to you so you can choose which temples to explore and when and how to travel (by bicycle, on foot or in an air conditioned car).  As the day ends you'll have chance to explore Siem Reap's vibrant night markets and many restaurants and cafes.

Day 4 Siem Reap

Today you'll enjoy a day of adventure sports showing you Cambodia's countryside from unique perspectives. In the morning you'll get to soar along zip wires at "The Flight of The Gibbons" - this canopy tour will take you from tree to tree passing wildlife, flora and fauna. Then after a break to relax at the hotel, you'll head out on a quad-bike tour into the rice paddies ending with a spectacular sunset over the rice fields.

Day 5 Siem Reap

On your last day in Siem Reap you'll be able to choose from a number of activities. If wildlife is of interest then you could spend the day with your guide visiting a bird sanctuary in the Tonle Sap Biosphere Reserve.  Alternatively, you could spend the day exploring the countryside on a bicycle tour or you could delve into some of the more remote Temples of Angkor with an expert guide.

Days 6-10  Phu Quoc Island(Vietnam)

After a leisurely morning in Siem Reap you'll board a short direct flight to tropical Phu Quoc Island. Phu Quoc lies just off the southern coast of Cambodia but is actually part of Vietnam. Here you'll check into a lovely hotel where you'll have five days to enjoy beach life. Activities are available, such as diving and snorkelling - the An Thoi Islands (south) and Turtle Island (northwest) are excellent snorkelling spots. There is a spa at the resort and a good choice of restaurants on site and nearby. Relax and enjoy!

DAY 11 Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam)

From sleepy Phu Quoc Island it's off to vibrant Ho Chi Minh City. Here you'll spend 3-4 days getting a real feel for Vietnam, its modern and historic face. Your introduction to the city will come by way of an evening Vespa tour; you'll ride pillion with your driver/guide and venture off the usual tourist trail to discover some of Saigon's authentic nightlife.

Day 12 ho chi minh city

Today you'll spend the day with your guide absorbing the contrasts of the city, from the back-streets and markets of the traditional districts to the cosmopolitan skyscrapers of the business hub. En route you'll visit some of the city's important museums such as The War Remnants museum and The Presidential Palace. This day will give you an overview of Vietnam past and present.

day 12 ho chi minh city & The mekong delta

Today you will visit the Mekong Delta; this tour can be tailored to your interests but we highly recommend another Vespa adventure here which can be combined with an experience creating authentic dishes with a local chef.

day 13 ho chi minh city & the cu chi tunnels

Your final adventure will take you along the Saigon River by speedboat to visit the infamous tunnels at Cu Chi.

Day 14 Fly Home

Depart Vietnam for your flight home

Enhance your Experience+

Extend the tour and stay a night or two in the Mekong Region (this works well between leaving Phu Quoc Island and arriving in Saigon).

Customer Feedback
Our guide, Mr Rous Ry was so well informed and so passionate about Cambodia that he transformed the holiday. I now can't even imagine trying to understand Angkor Wat without his explanations of the history of Hinduism, Buddhism and the Khmer empire. He also took on board that I am interested in old industrial processes and this helped with visits to an old fish paste factory, a blacksmith, a pottery, a brickworks and various railway sites. This was all done with a charming sense of humour and enthusiasm.
