The Jayavarman Odyssey
Discover the cultural treasures and beautiful scenery of Cambodia and Vietnam at an unhurried pace.
The Jayavarman was inspired by the famous French ‘golden age’ cruiser, ‘The Normandie’. The style is a combination of French colonial avant-garde and Indochinese architecture. With 4 decks and only 27 staterooms and 800 m² of public space no compromise has been made on comfort and guest experience and the rooms have been furnished to a high spec.
Watching the river change as you travel from Cambodia to Vietnam (or v/v) is an unforgettable experience and doing so from the comfort of your private balcony is pretty special.
The Jayavarman travels from Siem Reap in Cambodia, via the capital Phnom Penh and on to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam over the course of 7 days. The cruise can be enjoyed as a whole or taken in part, for example from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City over 4 days.
The cabin types are the ‘Superior Sateroom’, located on the main deck, with natural light throughout the day, the ‘Deluxe Staterooms’ are on the upper deck and have uniquely Indochinese décor, whilst the ‘Bao Dai’ and the ‘Jayavarman’ Staterooms, both also on the upper deck each have their own entirely unique design and feel. All rooms have floor to ceiling glass doors opening out onto private balconies.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
