Day-to-Day Itinerary : Bali Family Explorer

Depart London Heathrow for Denpasar, Bali.

Arrive in Denpasar and be met by your chauffeur-guide and private car. Take the 45 minute drive away from the crowds for two nights of relaxation at Waka Ganggu. Located on a quiet beach and surrounded by peaceful paddy fields this is the perfect place to wash away the stress and strains of home. The nearby Tanah Lot cliff temple is a great excursion for anyone feeling a little more active. (2 nights, Bed and Breakfast).

Head towards the dramatic volcanic mountains around Munduk and the tranquillity of Munduk Moding Plantation. The hotel is perched on the side of a mountain and the stand alone villas look out over the lush slopes below. From here we have included a guided walk amongst lush tropical forests, followed by a trip on a local styled canoe across the deep blue waters of the crater lake Tamblingan. You will have the opportunity to hire bicycles, undertake more strenuous treks or simply sit back in the infinity pool and enjoy the views over the northern coastline below. (3 nights, Bed and Breakfast).

Heading south into the lower foothills you will have three nights on the outskirts of Ubud, Bali'™s cultural capital. Famous for its markets, temples, great selection of restaurants and its traditional Balinese architecture, Ubud town is a great place for private exploration. The town is surrounded by steep river valleys and glistening paddy fields and we have included a walking tour of a local village and an afternoon'™s white water rafting. Waka Di Ume is built amongst paddy fields and is close enough for the town to be easily accessible but still retains a rural feel. (3 nights, Bed and Breakfast)

Driving east through the foothills of Mount Agung, you will arrive at sleepy Tulamben. 30 minutes north of Amed this stretch of coastline is a collection of small fishing villages and picturesque black sand coves. The snorkeling in the area is some of the best in Bali and the Liberty Wreck provides divers with a wonderful collection of fish and coral. Villa Markisa is a great base from which to relax, explore the surrounding countryside and deserted beaches or take advantage of the diving and snorkeling and other activities on offer. (4 nights, Full Board)

DAY 14

You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the airport in time for your return flight to London.

Customer Feedback
We enjoyed a 3 week trip exploring both the well known places as well as the less developed areas. We also balanced the trip with a variety of walks and activities as well as time for several half day breaks to relax. The Myanmar people are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The colours of the country are outstanding, wonderful dusty landscapes with rice fields and palm trees as well as so many amazing pagodas rich in colour and symbolism. Our best parts were the less well known places but Lake Inle and Bagan are must do places and are still not overrun by tourists. Experience Travel Group tailored a trip for our needs and knew how to do so and suggest appropriate hotels and means of travel.
