Day 1 Depart the uk

Begin today with your overnight flight to Bangkok. Where possible this will be a direct flight with Thai Airways who have seat back TV’s, good leg room and good service!

Day 2 Arrive Bangkok

On arrival in Bangkok our guide and driver will be waiting for you and will whizz you off to the Chatrium Hotel where you will stay for the next 4 nights. You’ll stay in a Grand Suite which has plenty of space for you all to spread out with 2 bedrooms a lounge and a dining room. Should you need it there is a small kitchen area but with the range of hotel restaurants not to mention all the great eateries in Bangkok you may want to leave your oven gloves at home! The short boat transfer to the nearest BTS station is regular and great fun. The Chatrium has the biggest and best pool in Bangkok - over-looking the Chao Phraya River.

Day 3 Explore Bangkok

After a leisurely morning your guide will meet you to take you on an exciting adventure across the city tailored specifically to your interests. Whether you're keen to see the main tourist sites, get some shopping done, or explore Thailand's legendary street food your local expert guide will know the best spots and some hidden gems.  You’ll travel with your guide on public transport; it’s the way the locals do it, good fun and the quickest way to get around the city. Hop on the sky train and you’ll whizz across the top of all the tour groups sitting in traffic in their mini-vans! We’d recommend visiting some local markets and trying some of the delicious local food.

Day 4 the backwaters of Bangkok

An early start this morning for a long tailed speedboat on the picturesque Chao Phraya River and canals of Thonburi. You’ll pass rice barges, children on their way to school and monks in orange robes on your fast boat to the palace. It's a cool and fun way to discover Bangkok.

Day 5 transfer to chiang mai

An early start today for your short flight up to Chiang Mai. For the more intrepid we can arrange an overnight train journey up to Chiang Mai in a sleeper cabin, just ask for details.

On arrival in Chiang Mai you’ll check in to Tamarind Village. Here you will stay in a family room, this doesn’t have separate bedrooms but the room is ideal for 4 and there is plenty of space for you all at this beautiful riverside location just outside the town.

This afternoon you’ll have a personal guide for the afternoon like you did in Bangkok. Take to the town to get a real feel for the colours, culture and flavours of Chiang Mai from a locals perspective.

Day 6 chiang mai

For most children (and adults) today will be a real highlight of the holiday as you will visit the Elephant Nature Park where you will interact with these magnifiscent creatures.

In the evening return to your stylish boutique resort to relax poolside.

Day 9 - 14 phuket

Enjoy some swimming, sandcastle building, alms giving to local monks at your resort.

Day 15 return to the uk

Return to the UK.

Customer Feedback
Nick actually listened to the type of trip we wanted. He then shared his knowledge and expertise to help with the detail of the countries that we did not have. Refreshingly he did not try and sell something 'off the shelf' or anything that would have been easy for him!
