The Metropark Causeway Bay, Hong Kong Island Hong Kong
The Metropark Causeway Bayis a good value hotel with 250 rooms based in the popular Causeway Bay area of Hong Kong Island. One of its most notable features is the outdoor swimming pool, athough relatively small it provides some great views over the famous Hong Kong skyline.
The Metropark is just a couple of minutes walk from the Tin Hau Temple and Victoria Park, its also just a short walk to an MTR station so it’s a great base from which to thoroughly explore the famous sights of Hong Kong. Rooms have a simple clean design and features you would expect from a 4 star hotel such as cable TV and air conditioning.
The interior of this hotel is perhaps not as contemporary or as stylish as some of the glitzy accommodation options available in Hong Kongbut if your aim is to explore the island without significant costs then its comfort and location make it a great choice.
Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
The Fairlawn Hotel in Calcutta was exotic and great fun and The Glenburn Tea Esatate Hotel in Darjeeling the most luxurious and charming we've ever experienced. The food and the mountain location were truly beautiful.
