Info : Amber Fort and Anokhi Museum

Just 12 kilometres outside of Jaipur is the deserted city of Amber (pronounced Amer), once the ancient capital of the Rajput Empire. The famous Amber Fort is in a beautiful setting amidst rugged hills and it offers an interesting mixture of Hindu and Mughal architecture.  Upon arrival, it's loveley to walk up to the fort from the road which will take about 10 minutes.
In the afternoon explore the the Anokhi Textile Museum of hand-block printing; standing in the shadows of the Fort. The museum was established in 2005 to preserve and conserve the art of traditional handprinted textiles from the celebrated towns of Sanganer and Bagru.
