Stay in deep in the heart of Corbett National park at Dhikala Forest Lodge to immerse yourself in the forest scenery and wildlife that resides here. If you’re a keen wildlife lover and birder, this is the place for you - unless you’re after luxury!
With its prime location in the centre of the park, you don’t have to travel far at all (or get up as early!) for your jeep safaris in the mornings and afternoons. It’s very remote and you’ll be in the lap of nature, though the property is protected by a solar panelled fence as wildlife wanders around in the night.
We use rooms that are spread out across just two lodges, and while they are basic, they are still comfortable. You’ll have hot water, your own bathroom, but there is no air conditioning.
Keep in mind that there is limited to no connectivity here, and staff service is quite informal. We advise staying at the lodge for two nights at the most due to its basic facilities. It’s a great idea to combine a stay here with a night or two at another property outside the park.
This is a true wildlife experience in the core zone of a spectacular national park.
Basic - The 'Basic' category covers places which are very simple indeed, with extremely rudimentary facilities. These places are used when they are part of the experience, such as a village homestay, or when there are no other hotels available in an area.
