Info : Mantra Veppathur
Mantra Vepparthur is a traditional Tamil property situated in the heartland of the former Chola empire in the Kaveri Delta. The property focuses on values, faith and spirituality so is an ideal place for relaxation and taking some time out. You won’t find alcohol or meat served and it’s not recommend to take your own alcohol, so in that respect it is quite self-selecting
The Anna Prakshana restaurant focuses on healthy cuisine and the chef will happily cater to your requests. The beautiful pool is perfect to while away an afternoon and the river is just a few minutes walk away for a safe paddle. The elegant, typically Tamil cottages and villas situated throughout the herbal gardens, are pleasantly designed and come with sit out verandhas. They are on the simpler side, albeit still comfortable and characterful.
The retreat has a strong emphasis on service and all guests are made to feel very welcome, you’ll notice the lovely ambience as soon as you check in. The rural feel really makes it’s easy to escape and see a different way of life. If you are looking for luxurious accommodation, a gin and tonic in the evening and slick service, this probably isn’t the place for you, but we find it’s a lovely option for most, including families.
Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
