Park Hyatt, Goa India, Goa
Large and rather glamorous, the Park Hyatt is a high-end treat on the southern shores of Goa. Set on 45 acres of tropical gardens, this resort and spa has a Portuguese village feel about it, featuring charming Pousada-style suites and rooms, deluxe spa facilities, fine dining, and lovely landscaped grounds that face the water.
Spectacular beaches are Goa’s undisputed draw cards, and Arossim Beach, between Bogmalo and Utorda, is among the finest. Churches and temples spanning the centuries are close at hand, and spice plantations, waterfalls, and wildlife sanctuaries make for wonderful day trips. At the resort, you can admire one of the largest free-form pools in the country, book a world-class Ayurvedic treatment, or take a cooking course.
The Pousada-style rooms are upmarket in design with elegant dark wood accents and muted coloured furnishings. The bath is the true highlight here – each room has an indulgent spa-inspired sunken bath for soaking in. Upgrade to a View Room to make the most of the pool or sea vista, or go all out and book a Park Deluxe King room with a private balcony, sit-out, and outdoor shower.
The Park Hyatt Goa is a great choice for families who like a high level of comfort and luxury. Despite the charming Indo-Portuguese architectural touches throughout, it lacks the charm that a more authentic Indian boutique experience might provide. All the same, kids are well looked after at Camp Hyatt, and spa therapy enthusiasts are equally well looked after at Sereno Spa. Come here for an extremely comfortable, high-end experience in charming Goa.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
