A Different Side of Rajasthan
An incredible journey; covering the famous sights but also exploring the Rajasthani countryside, wilderness and wildlife.
In rural Rajasthan, Shahpura Bagh is nestled between Udaipur and Jaipur. This 120-year-old estate sits on 30 acres of lovely grounds and is surrounded by beautiful lakes. It’s an intimate yet high-end retreat and there’s plenty to see and do while you’re there, unless of course, you’d rather do nothing at all.
This region of Rajasthan is a fascinating mix of golden desert sand, green expanse, and shimmering waters. Rajadhiraja Nahar Singh created the lakes to bring prosperity to the land. The result of his work is a prosperous area with wetlands, forests, verdant fields, and thriving farming estates. You can take a boat out on the lake, spot rare and exotic birds, explore the forts and temples, or picnic in the countryside. At the hotel, you can swim in the enormous pool, dine on the rooftop terrace, or take a bike or a jeep safari through the countryside.
There are nine luxury suites, all of which are unique in colour and design. They are spread over two bright and spacious residences on the grounds. The design approach is clean, minimalistic, full of natural light, and incredibly stylish, all in all, a great combination of warmth, elegance, modernity and tradition.
You will love the welcoming vibe that this desert oasis provides, and it’s a particularly good choice for families. This is a great way to experience rural Rajasthan and come home to luxury and top-notch hospitality.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
