Day-to-Day Itinerary : Temples, Nature and Islands

DAY 1

Depart UK.

DAYS 2 - 5 SIEM REAP

Arrive in Siem Reap where your guide and driver will transfer you to your hotel. During your stay youll visit the most famous temple Angkor Wat as well as Angkor Thom, Bayon and also Ta Prohm. There will also be plenty of time to explore some of the more remote temples and visit the floating villages on the Tonle Sap. For those more active travellers we can arrange bike tours which are a great way to get away from the crowds.

DAYS 5 - 7 PHNOM PENH

A 50 minute morning flight down to Phnom Penh (or you can travel by road if preferred). During your time in the capital you'll spend a full day tour exploring with your guide, taking in the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, Emerald Buddha and the National Museum. Youll also have the chance to visit Toul Sleng Museum, formerly used by the Pol Pot regime as a detention centre, and the killing fields. This is a moving example of the difficulties faced by Cambodia between 1975 & 1979. For those who would rather miss the museum there is the option of taking a cycle tour of Koh Dach island - just a short boat ride across the Mekong from the city centre.

DAYS 7 - 10 CARDAMOM MOUNTAINS

With your guide and driver you'll begin the journey to the Cardamom Mountains in Cambodia's remote South West. You will take a short boat trip along a peaceful river until you get to 4 Rivers Floating Lodge, where you will have three nights to relax, explore and take in the idyllic surroundings. A variety of activities, based around the waterways and its surrounding nature and wildlife, are available.

DAYS 10 - 14 KOH KOOD

From Four Rivers its barely an hour to the Thai border where you'll cross into Thailand, meet you local guide and driver and amble along the coast. Your destination is Koh Kooh which is reached from a jetty near the city of Trat. Unlike other Thai islands, Koh Kood still feels relatively unexplored and is idyllic. Spend four nights at the fantastic Shantaa Koh Kood, relaxing on the quiet and untouched white sand beaches.

DAYS 14-16 BANGKOK

Take a short flight from Trat to Bangkok and a return to fast living! Spend two nights at Ariyasom Villa, a stunning boutique hotel in the heart of Bangkok. A personal guide is included to take you to the sites that take your fancy, from the Royal Palace to a boat trip through the never ending waterways and of course the simply unbeatable food stalls!

DAY 16

A final transfer to Bangkok Airport for your flight home.

Customer Feedback
The guides and drivers couldn't have been better, 10 out of 10. Dao was outstanding. He made the trip extra special for us. His knowledge of the area and the whole country, history etc. was fantastic. He was brilliant with the children too, he made the trip fun, exciting and safe. If ever he was talking to a local in Lao, he would always involve us in the conversation and explain what was happening. At the end of our 9 days with him we didn't want him to go.
