Family Bali and Lombok Adventure
Adventure, culture and relaxation in one holiday make this the ideal family summer getaway to Indonesia.
Famous for its cultural significance in and to Bali, Ubud also has much to offer the more adventurous traveller. One of the more exhilarating activities on offer in the surrounding countryside is White Water Rafting on the Ayung River. Almost as big an appeal as the rafting itself is the truly spectacular scenery as you travel down the Ayung gorge.
Switching between Class II and III rapids, you will wind through deep valleys with cascading waterfalls and towering cliffs of prehistoric significance. On the more leisurely stretches through tropical forests you will see brightly decorated Hindu shrines. Safety is paramount and the boats used are of the highest quality and the life jackets are of modern international standard and checked frequently. The staff are also highly experienced in handling the rafts. After the rafting and an opportunity to get dry and change, an excellent lunch will be served.
The rafting here is not as 'wild' here as certain other destinations and provides a good opportunity for those experimenting with the sport for the first time. It is excellent for families and small groups. The rafting is at its best during the wet season and the river level can get low at the end of the dry season.
You can include this experience as part of an Experience Travel Group holiday designed exclusively with you.
