Day-to-Day Itinerary : Relaxed Bali (Deluxe)

 Depart the UK.

DAY 2 -4  SEMINYAK   Glorious sunsets at a bustling beach

On arrival at Bali’s Denpasar airport you will be met by your guide, head straight through passport control and onwards to your pool villa accommodation in the fashionable beach town of Seminyak.

You will have time to relax and enjoy Seminyak with its wide white-sand beach and selection of restaurants.  You’re also in a great location from which to explore Southern Bali where highlights include the beachfront fish barbecues of Jimbaran and the temple at Uluwatu. During your stay you’ll have a chance to learn about the techniques involved in producing traditional Balinese dishes ans this experience will also include a fascinating early morning trip to a local market.

DAYS 5 –7  UBUD   art, culture & Glistening Paddy Fields

It’s a scenic drive north (around 2 hours) from the coast towards the foothills of Bali’s volcanic mountains. Here you’ll stay in Ubud, the cultural capital of Bali.  Famous for its lively art scene, its markets, temples, restaurants and traditional Balinese architecture, Ubud is also surrounded by steep river valleys and glistening paddy fields. You’ll stay in a truly beautiful resort with sweeping views of the rural scene.

During your time here you’ll take a guided walking tour around the nearby countryside villages to get a feel for the home-grown art scene and some of the local farming methods. In Ubud itself your guide will show you the markets and the monkey forest and in the hills there will be the opportunity to take a mountain bike ride (mainly downhill) and to learn about some unique Balinese cultural traditions.

DAY 8 – 12 CANGgU   Relaxing by the ocean waves

You will be transferred from Ubud to your hotel which is set amongst the paddy fields and peaceful beaches of Canggu.  With its verdant scenery this area is one of the most serene and rural beach locations in Southern Bali.  Your accommodation here is very unique and a special part of your holiday experience: part art gallery and part antiques collections amidst lush, tropical gardens by the beach, this is a lovely spot to relax.

During your stay there will be a sunset visit to Tanah Lot temple followed by a delicious dinner. This extraordinary temple was built in the 15th century in homage to the Balinese Sea gods.

Transfer by vehicle to Denpasar airport for your flight home.

Talk to one of our Indonesia experts if you would like to tailor your tour to incorporate an adventure on one of the neighbouring islands such as Lombok, Java or in Komodo National Park.

Customer Feedback
Six great and amazingly different hotels - we would happily recommend any of them. We had three excellent guides as well. And we lost track of the number of "Wow" moments. In addition to the obvious, including Paramban, Borobodur and Bromo, we would add our tour of the markets + rickshaw ride in Malang, and having coffee with Mr Rai at the Agung Rai Gallery in Bali. Our guide in Bali, Otok (?) was excellent at explaining local culture, and we left an offering at his family shrine.
