Day-to-Day Itinerary : Bali Highlights with Komodo Adventure

DAY 1 - DEPART THE UK

Depart the UK.

DAY 2 – SIDEMAN

You will be met by your guide when you arrive at the airport, where they will assist you with immigration and your visa procedures. You will then be transferred to the stunning rural town of Sideman, where the rest of the day can be spent at leisure.

DAY 3 – SIDEMAN

Visit a village to see at first hand their local customs and to witness the traditional process of Ikat Weaving.

DAY 4 – SIDEMAN

From the hotel you will set out on a day's trek to Pura Bukit, guided by one of the hotels local guides. A packed brunch is included and you will have the opportunity to experience the stunning scenery of East Bali, in the shadow of Mount Agung.

DAY 5 – UBUD

Transfer by road to the cultural capital of Ubud, stopping en route at Besakih Temple and Bali Aga.

DAY 6 – ubud

Take a private walking tour through the beautiful countryside surrounding Ubud. You will be guided through local villages and paddy fields by a local Balinese Priest who will offer a great insight into Balinese nature, religion and culture. After the walk you will finish up at the Priest's house, where you will receive a traditional Balinese lunch, followed by a Balinese blessing.

Then you will be kitted out with mountain bikes and all the required safety equipment, before starting a downhill cycle from Mount Batur through lush tropical paddy fields, coffee plantations and a tour of a village temple.

DAY 7 – ubud

Enjoy a guided tour of Ubud town, the cultural centre of Bali. Visit the ARMA Museum's excellent art gallery and Batuan Village to meet Dewa Nyoman Batuan, a master of Balinese painting and its culture. You will then have a chance to visit Ubud's famous Monkey Forest, which is home to hundreds of grey macaques. End the day with a stroll through Ubud's Market and/or Palace.

DAY 8- komodo

Transfer to Denpasar, Bali’s airport, and take a short flight to the island of Komodo. Settle into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

 DAY 9 – komodo

Today is the day that you go to see some dragons! They may not have wings or breathe fire but, at up to 3m long, a dragon is an apt description of the remarkable creatures that inhabit Komodo National Park. The island also provides a beautiful coastal setting and is famous for its clear white sands and offshore coral suitable for both snorkelling and diving. During the day you will explore Komodo on foot and you should have plenty of opportunities to see the dragons. You will have lunch and time for snorkelling on the picturesque pink beach.

DAY 10 - komodo

Today is yours, to relax on the beach, snorkel or dive around Komodo’s fabulous coral or further explore the national park in search of dragons.

DAY 11 – bali beach

This afternoon, you will fly back to Bali and transfer to Seminyak, a pristine beach on the south-west coast of Bali. Spend the rest of today at leisure.

DAY 12 – bali beach

Take an early morning visit to a local market to look for and purchase the produce for the day;this course gives you a thorough introduction into the techniques and methods used in traditional Balinese cuisine. The restaurant is run by the famous chef Heinz von Holzen who has been in Bali for 20 years and is a pioneer of Balinese cooking courses.After the market visit and breakfast, you will spend the morning cooking and building up your appetite and then lunch will be a chance to test your culinary creations.

DAY 13 & 14 – bali beach

Two full days at leisure for you to relax at your beachfront hotel.

DAY 15 – fly home

Transfer to the airport to catch your flight home.

Our guide (Jun) in Jogjakarta and Borobudur was exceptionally good - excellent with our two boys (aged 5 and 3), really friendly and informative and added a lot of value. Our boat guide (Jack) was amazing too - he was brilliant with the boys, really thought about making the most of the 3 days, very flexible and really did everything possible to make sure we all had a great time.
