Family Java, Bali and Komodo Cruise Deluxe
First-time visitors to Indonesia will love this varied and exciting tour of the beautiful archipelago nation's highlights.
Modern Balinese architecture is fused with chic interior design at this fantastic deluxe hotel. The sweeping views of Ubud's Campuchan River valley and its sloping rice fields are breathtaking.
The resort covers a large area, but there are only 40-50 rooms, so the service feels intimate. The spacious suites and villas are expertly designed with polished tile flooring, freestanding roll-top baths and Apple TVs, to name a few of the amenities that give them a luxury feel. Each room has a balcony with a view of the valley; the higher up your room is, the more dramatic the view tends to be so we recommend requesting a higher room at the time of booking.
The reception and lobby bar are at the top of the resort with great views of the surrounding countryside and the resorts beautiful swimming pool. The spa and restaurant are near the bottom of the resort, in the valley near the swimming pool. The quality of food served in the restaurants is excellent, and the complimentary afternoon tea is a nice touch.
This is a perfect hotel for honeymooners and couples as the location is very romantic, and while it's not a family resort per se we still feel it would be a right choice for those with older children. The villas have plenty of space for families to spread out, and teenagers will enjoy the fun and adventure that Ubud has to offer.
The resort is peaceful as it is on the outskirts of Ubud and has a countryside feel. However, the galleries and shops of the central part of town are only a 15-minute walk away or a couple of minutes in a complimentary shuttle bus.

Luxury - Luxury hotels would have a superb level of service, very comfortable and usually spacious bedrooms, excellent food, great design and character. For us, when we visited, these places all had the 'wow factor'. A luxury hotel should satisfy the criteria of the most discerning clients.
