Pondok Santi, Gili Trawangan

Located on the small island of Gili Trawangan, Pondok Santi is a quiet beachfront retreat with private bungalows and villas with spacious grounds and easy access to the rest of the island.  

Although the largest of the three Gili Islands, Trawangan is still only 3km wide and 2km long. There are no cars or motorbikes and people get around either by foot, on a bicycle, or in horse-drawn carts. The island’s lively nightlife scene is just 400m from Pondok Santi, which is just far enough to be an easy walk to the bars and restaurants without imposing on your scenic beach holiday. Plenty of experiences are offered at the resort, from diving to cooking classes to horseback riding, so the choice between lounging by the ocean or actively exploring is entirely yours.  

The resort is spread across beautifully landscaped gardens which lead to their private beach. The accommodation from the standard rooms to the villas and bungalows is spacious and modern but maintains a distinctly Balinese feel with thatched roofs and wooden furnishings. The available pool villas are fantastic but not entirely necessary, as the white sand beach and clear blue water are just a stone’s throw away.  

Pondok Santi is an ideal choice for couples and families looking for a tropical island getaway with plenty of activities and local life on their doorstep. The spacious villas and white sandy beaches are perfect for lounging around, but there are enough activities around to keep everyone entertained.
