The volcanic Komodo Islands are part of the Komodo National Park, known for its shimmering blue seas, exotic landscape, and the only place to find Komodo Dragons. As a protected area with strict regulations on visiting, a cruise is a simple, practical, and relaxing way to experience the region.
Samara offers shared trips or private charters on its Phinisi boats, the Samara 1 and 2. The Samara 2 is slightly smaller at 23m long and has a 10-guest capacity compared to the Samara 1's 27m length and 12-guest capacity. Otherwise, both boats feature air-conditioned, ensuite cabins, sun and shade decks, a bar, and a dining area.
A range of routes are available, from three to five nights, with island visits tailored to make the most of each time frame and weather conditions at the time. Each cruise offers a mix of relaxation and adventure, with plenty of opportunities to explore the ocean at snorkelling spots or on paddleboards, island treks to incredible viewpoints, and relaxing on idyllic beaches. Meals are served either onboard or as beach BBQ lunches and dinners.
