Staff make the experience all the more pleasurable as they are friendly and attentive, serving you with drinks, snacks and delicious buffet-style Laotian lunches.
You will make a few stops along the way, including a stop at the fascinating Pak Ou Caves of a Thousand Buddhas and a visit to a traditional Laos village where you can experience rural local life and observe their fascinating craftmanship.
Your boat stops overnight in Pak Beng, a rustic little town halfway along your journey where you will stay in the Luang Say Lodge, a charming bungalow resort with stunning views to wake up to over the river.
