Board a local boat for your river journey up to Muang Ngoi, following part of the Nam Ou River, before arriving in a village. From here, you’ll begin an easy yet scenic trek through some quintessential Laotian countryside, taking in minority villages, caves and a classic landscape of lush paddy fields. The journey will provide a chance to explore Khmu and Thai Daeng minority communities before returning to Muang Mgoi. After a chance for a cooling swim in the river, you’ll return to Nong Khiaw by boat.
