This resort is in central Malaysia on the outskirts of Taman Negara National Park. With stunning natural surroundings and beautifully designed gardens, Lake Kenyir Resort is a lovely place for families and couples to stay and relax.
The resort is spread across 70 acres of land and built around the beautiful Lake Kenyir, the largest lake in Malaysia. There are various outdoor activities on offer, from fishing to jungle trekking, to visiting the multiple waterfalls and caves to kayaking, to canoeing to rafting.
Accommodation is in wooden chalets built in traditional Malay style. Some overlook the lake, others further set back. Each feels very private and spacious. Rooms are furnished with modern conveniences, although they may feel a little dated. The infinity pool looking over the lake is beautiful, and there is a Malaysian restaurant with a lovely terraced dining area stunning views over the lake beyond.
In summary, this is a comfortable retreat with plenty of outdoor activities on offer in a beautiful setting. It’s not state of the art luxury but will suit more adventurous visitors who’d like to do something a little different in Malaysia.
Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
