Info : Strawberry Park Resort, Cameron Highlands
Strawberry Park Resort is perched atop a hill on a tea plantation. Large and airy rooms with balconies give you fantastic views of the surroundings, and the hotel has a great range of recreational facilities and tours.
The Cameron Highlands is a beautiful and tranquil region just northeast of the Pahong mountains, where rolling green hills are covered with plantations and the vegetation is colourful and varied. Strawberry Park seeks to complement the beautiful surroundings, offering a huge range of guided excursions including night walks, mountain biking, rainforest treks, and countryside tours.
There are rooms, suites, and even a penthouse. Studio Rooms come with large private balconies, polished wooden floors, king or twin beds, and lovely classic furnishings. A Tioga Deluxe Suite will give you plenty of space, a living room, and a walk-in dressing room too, perfect for romantic getaways.
This is a great mid-range option for exploring the beautiful Cameron Highlands. If you are accustomed to luxury, you might miss the presence of facilities such as a gym, air conditioning and heating, but if you are not too fussed about five star perks and enjoy getting out and about, Strawberry Park Resort is a lovely choice, particularly for families.
Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
The guides and drivers couldn't have been better, 10 out of 10. Dao was outstanding. He made the trip extra special for us. His knowledge of the area and the whole country, history etc. was fantastic. He was brilliant with the children too, he made the trip fun, exciting and safe. If ever he was talking to a local in Lao, he would always involve us in the conversation and explain what was happening. At the end of our 9 days with him we didn't want him to go.
