Info : The Andaman
The Andaman is a tranquil beach resort on the north of Langkawi sharing a wide sweeping bay with The Datai resort. This quiet stretch of the coast backs on to a 10 million year old rainforest with a plethora of exotic bird species. It’s brilliant for families wanting a relaxing beach stay.
The hotel has a main hotel building with fantastic views of the ocean beyond. Within this, there are a total of 178 rooms all tastefully decorated with modern conveniences. Some overlook the dense rainforests beyond, others offer views over the luxurious swimming pool and beach. There are interconnecting rooms available for families and Executive Pool Suites that offer private plunge pools for those wanting a certain level of privacy.
A young explorers club is available for children and provides an array of fun and interactive activities to entertain them across their stay. From learning about marine life in the resorts mini coral nursery, to sea shell arts and crafts, to fish feeding, there is so much to see and do. Adults wanting a little more sedate experience can enjoy treatments at the onsite Spa. There are also four restaurants available offering a mixture of cuisine, from traditional Malay, to international, to Japanese so there’ll be something for everyone.
The Andaman in Langkawi offers a very relaxing stay indeed in an idyllic setting.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.

Really enjoyed the food tour. It took us to a part of Bangkok that we would never have visited. We visited 5 restaurants, some of which you would probably dismiss out of hand and carry on walking past from their appearance. They were also very clued up on local knowledge so it was a much a cultural tour as food tour.
