Pandaw are one of the most well established river cruise companies in Myanmar and a great choice for the two-night journey along the Irrawaddy between Bagan and Mandalay, and vice versa. Travelling between the two ancient capitals you’ll take in magnificent scenery along the Irrawaddy at a relaxed pace. You’ll stop to explore the sleepy riverside town of Pakkoku by trishaw and to visit Yandabo, famous for its vibrant and traditional pottery trade and the location of a school that was built with donations from Pandaw passengers.
In addition to their vast experience on the water, Pandaw have an impressive fleet of high-quality attractive boats. The 16 cabin, RV Katha Pandaw is the usual vessel of choice for this overnight experience, and she’s a beauty. Cabins are spacious and cleverly designed, with plenty of areas for relaxing both inside and out. Expect teak and brass furnishings, air conditioning and special touches in your cabin: fruit, flowers, slippers and robes, just to name a few. Choose from a main deck cabin or an upper deck cabin - all have french windows, and great bathrooms. The catering is excellent and the staff really know what they’re doing.
Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
Here are some of our most popular holidays including this item, however, we can include this in a unique tailor made holiday, crafted specifically for you.
