Hot Air Balloon Over Inle, Lake Inle

This extraordinary region of Myanmar (Burma) deserves to be explored from every angle, and what better way to take it all in than from a hot air balloon? Travel by boat across silvery Inle Lake and watch the morning mists rise off the water. Once you reach the balloon site, enjoy a leisurely breakfast of coffee, tea, and pastries before you take off. You’ll spend about an hour above the earth, your flight mastered by a licensed and experienced balloon pilot. See the incredible lake with its vibrant longboat traffic and busy Intha fishermen casting their nets. Take in the mountainous surroundings dotted with monasteries and traditional villages with stilted houses.  If the conditions are right, you’ll go right over the vibrant floating markets, traverse the bird sanctuary or swoop over the Kaung Daing hot springs. Upon landing, you’ll be presented with a platter of seasonal fruit and some celebratory refreshments.
