The Undiscovered North
Unique off-the-beaten-track adventure. A taste of local life in the foothills of the Himalayas, at the source of the Irrawaddy River and beyond.
Spotting birds at the optimal time of 5:30am til 9am is well worth an early rise. The wetlands are home to hundreds of water and shore bird species, some of them native to the area and others migratory. Watch out for such treasures as the rare sarus crane, the purple swamphen, Asian golden weaver and the Greater Spotted Eagle. Enjoy a local lunch before embarking on a boat cruise around the wetlands, enjoying the beautiful and diverse flora including aquatic grass and lovely water lilies. Your guide will keep you informed about the various conservation programmes in place for the wetlands and the wildlife inhabiting them.
You can include this experience as part of an Experience Travel Group holiday designed exclusively with you.

This was our last long haul holiday which was quite the best we have done and just what we hoped it would be. But we will definitely recommend your company to any of our friends who may be planning a trip.
