Aureum Bagan is right in the centre of Bagan’s archaeological zone, which makes for some absolutely spectacular views, especially at sunrise and sunset. Despite its close proximity to town, it still manages to maintain a feeling of tranquillity. Expect beautiful grounds, spacious villas and a warm welcome.
After a hard day’s sightseeing, you can cool off in the pool, indulge in a spa treatment, play a round of golf at the nearby club or grab a cocktail and enjoy dinner.
The rooms are spacious and elegant, with standard bathroom facilities and all the usual amenities. It’s the villas that really stand out here. The most luxurious of all is the Island Villa, aptly named because guests stay on their own private island complete with a private pool, butler, valet, Jacuzzi, veranda, terrace and kitchenette.
Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
