Novotel Inle Lake Myat Min Hotel,
Myanmar, Lake Inle
Info : Novotel Inle Lake Myat Min Hotel
This is a large, deluxe hotel with sprawling beautifully manicured grounds. The facilities are modern and extensive, and every way you look, the view is stunning. Come here to enjoy this very special part of Myanmar, knowing that despite the remoteness of the area, you still have easy access to comforts and exceptional service.
Lakeside relaxation, birding, bike hire and cultural pursuits are the reason you’ll be in the area and at the Novotel itself, you can relax in the outdoor heated infinity pool, dine at one of the two restaurants, work out at the gym, play a round of golf or treat yourself to a spa and beauty treatment.
The rooms are modern, clean and feature all the usual facilities and amenities you’d expect from a Novotel, and all suites have private balconies with gorgeous garden views. But the real highlight here is staying in a villa: perfect for a small family, they are incredibly spacious and airy (110m2) and are situated right on the water. Please note, though, that the resort is not situated directly on Lake Inle itself, rather, an inlet, and that you will need to travel to reach the famous lake.
Whether you’re visiting Lake Inle for a birding trip, a boat cruise or just some fresh air and lakeside relaxation, it’s comforting to know that you can still expect international levels of service and extensive modern facilities. The Novotel is pricier than most other hotels in the area but the difference in quality and standards of luxury might certainly be worth the extra investment.
Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
We enjoyed a 3 week trip exploring both the well known places as well as the less developed areas. We also balanced the trip with a variety of walks and activities as well as time for several half day breaks to relax. The Myanmar people are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The colours of the country are outstanding, wonderful dusty landscapes with rice fields and palm trees as well as so many amazing pagodas rich in colour and symbolism. Our best parts were the less well known places but Lake Inle and Bagan are must do places and are still not overrun by tourists. Experience Travel Group tailored a trip for our needs and knew how to do so and suggest appropriate hotels and means of travel.
