The cosy boutique hotel Rupar Mandalar has a great range of facilities for a small resort and is a fantastic choice for staying a little distance away from the busy town centre (approximately a 10-minute drive). The property is nicely decorated with plenty of teak wood and Burmese-style finishing touches all set amidst carefully kept gardens with ponds, trees and pleasant public spaces. The swimming pool at the back of the hotel is huge and has a lovely terrace for relaxing, and there is also a spa and tennis court to keep guests entertained during their stay. Rupar Mandalar’s rooms are tastefully decorated with more teak wood and splashes of interesting Burmese art and antiques. All are clean, well-appointed and generously sized; in particular, the family suites are very spacious with large living rooms and up to 3 bedrooms. The staff here are very well trained and accommodating, especially at the hotel’s restaurant which serves delicious food, both Burmese and international cuisine, throughout the day. Rupar Mandalar is a fantastic alternative to staying inside the noisy town centre of Mandalay and has all the amenities needed for a great stay, especially for families.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
