Sanctum Inle is well-situated with beautiful interiors offering a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay while exploring this fascinating region of Myanmar.
The resort is right next to Lake Inle. You can arrive and depart by boat for a particularly spectacular experience or by car depending if logistically preferable. The interiors of the resort feature a lot of teak and are reminiscent of a bygone time in Myanmar's colonial history. The rounded windows allow dramatic light in and create a very spiritual and imposing atmosphere throughout.
All four room categories are very spacious, fitted with modern amenities and are all ensuite. The main building houses 'Cloister' rooms both Classic and Deluxe – the latter offering better views of Lake Inle. There are also Suites available in both the main building and separate villas for added privacy. At the moment, the resort has no swimming pool, so travellers should consider this before booking.
All in all, this is a very comfortable lake-side resort offering a great location from which to explore the way of life around Lake Inle.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
