Shwe Inn Tha Hotel, Lake Inle
Myanmar, Lake Inle

Info : Shwe Inn Tha Hotel

The Shwe Inn Tha Hotel is a luxurious, laid-back and responsibly managed property sitting above the mirror-calm waters of Inle Lake.

Comprised of 36 well-appointed wooden cabanas, The Shwe Inn Tha Hotel has the accolade of being the first hotel in the region to offer its guests a swimming pool. Surrounded by loungers, a relaxed cocktail-bar and views of the lake and mountains, this is an ideal place to cool down from the scorching mid-day sun.

The rooms themselves are beautifully crafted from hard woods with excellent attention to detail throughout. Bright and airy, the rooms are well-equipped with mini-bars, bathtubs, outdoor showers, private balconies, air-conditioning, heater units and separate toilets. The hotel also has family rooms and 2 bedroom suites.

One of Inle Lake’s best resorts, The Shwe Inn Tha Hotel offers simple yet charming accommodation in this spectacular region of Burma. Much of your time will be spent out exploring the lake and local attractions, including floating villages, markets, temples and pagodas. Access is by Longtail boat - a stunning journey past rugged mountains, local floating villages and golden pagoda stupas. No trip to Burma would be complete without a stay on this breathtaking natural Lake, and the The Shwe Inn Tha Hotel is one of our favourite places to relax.

Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.

Customer Feedback
[Our cruise] was excellent in every way and we had a memorable holiday. Terry our guide made the trip for us. I couldn't recommend [it] more highly, perfect in every way. Loved the informality of it all and the evening cocktails were delicious. Trips ashore clambering up the banks of the Irrawaddy into little villages were quite delightful and locals fascinated by us. Excellent mixed itinerary organised by our guide which took in all aspects of life.
