NEPALWITH ETG
River deep and mountain high, there’s so much more to Nepal than just "trekker heaven". Through our immersive experiences, we'll show you her myths, her mysteries and the rhythms and rhymes of her fascinating people living fascinating lives.
On one of our holidays in Nepal, you'll be taken under the wing of a warm host family while visiting a rural community homestay (or two). You'll nod hello to villagers and the occasional goat herder on quiet mountain trails, refuelling with a cup of chai, en route. You'll meet monks (some on motorbikes) in magical Mustang. And share smiles and stories with our great guides.
Beyond genuinely connecting with the people of the places you visit, you'll enjoy action and adventure. Tranquility and tradition. Drama and diversity.

WHEN TO GO TO NEPAL
If you're a hiker, Nepal in spring or autumn will blow you away. With warm temperatures (around 26°C) and crisp, clear skies, these seasons are the prime times to walk the Himalayas.
For unobstructed views of these mountains, plan your trek between mid-September and November when they're at their peak (but expect to be sharing some trails with some fellow adventurers).
Wild about wildlife? Pack your binoculars and aim for October to April.
Nepal's drier months are best for spotting rare rhinos, elusive tigers, sloth bears and elephants in Chitwan National Park or Bardiya. Keep your eyes peeled — you never know what you'll encounter.
And if you're keen to dive headfirst into Newari culture, why not time your trip with one of the country’s vibrant festivals?
There's Bisket Jatra in April — a colourful celebration to ring in the Nepali New Year in Bhaktapur. Or Dashain in October, Nepal's biggest and most anticipated festival, where the entire country comes alive with rituals and revelry.

Start in Kathmandu and its surrounding valley, where you’ll have the privilege of being welcomed into timeless villages like Panauti and Nagarkot, and explore ancient Durbar squares in Patan and Bhaktapur. Mill around the markets, admire centuries-old temples and Newari architecture, and try your hand at lovely local crafts.
Namo Buddha provides a serene escape with jaw-dropping Himalayan views.
Pokhara is your go-to for adventure — think paragliding, trekking into the Annapurna foothills, boating along Phewa lake and watching it glow during an evening aarti ceremony. You can also hike up to the Peace Pagoda for panoramic views, or simply soak up the laid-back lakeside atmosphere.
For a taste of the wild, head to Chitwan National Park, where you can seek out epic animals in their natural habitat, go rafting and camping.
And for something even more off-grid, venture into the dramatic landscapes of Mustang, a once-inaccessible gem that's just opened up to curious travellers.
Nepal also combines beautifully with nearby countries like Bhutan.

Beyond the charming homestays nestled deep in hidden valleys, take your pick between Nepal's heritage hotels in cultural cities, wonderful safari camps, spiritual retreats and atmospheric mountain lodges.
