Located a 45 minute drive from Muscat, Sifawy is a boutique hotel with a contemporary design, blending European and traditional Omani influences. Set within a scenic marina town, it is still within walking distance to a quiet stretch of beach.
You can really just come here to while away your time relaxing on a lounger by the pool or on the beach. Otherwise, there are plenty of facilities including a jacuzzi, fitness centre, tennis courts, golf course and bike rentals. You can even head out on fishing trips, desert adventures, diving and snorkelling trips and dolphin watching. Venture out and walk around the marina where glistening white buildings line the water and boats are moored up in the docks; you’ll find the town has a very laid back atmosphere. As for dining, there are options available all day at the Sal Sabla restaurant, as well as a lounge and bar and beach bar. You are quite limited when it comes to eating outside the resort however, so if you’re staying a while, keep this in mind.
There are 68 rooms total, including 29 suites as well as 13 larger residences. Each has a private balcony but they are fairly standard rooms and are not overly spacious, so if you want more room, go for the suites with their added living area. Residences are much larger, with a living and dining area and outdoor space.
Sifawy is a lovely boutique option away from the Muscat’s city centre and is a great choice if you’re seeking a relaxed, intimate stay. However, if you’re wanting to be closer to the city and have more dining options, it isn’t the most convenient.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
