Located centrally in the city of Sur, an old fishing village, Sur Plaza provides comfortable, no frills accommodation and excellent hospitality.
Food here is known to be excellent with a variety of cuisines are on offer. Dine indoors at the Oyster restaurant or out by the pool at Al Najoom, enjoying Omani, Indian and Sri Lankan cuisines. There aren’t many facilities, aside from a large pool and gym and there isn’t a lot to do in the area itself but it’s a good base for exploring further afield or as an east coast stop on your way to or from Muscat.
There are 89 rooms and suites available. They are pretty standard hotel rooms and rather outdated in decor, however they are comfortable, offer great value for money and have all the usual amenities.
In all, Sur Plaza is a reasonably-priced option for an overnight stay if you’re travelling along Oman’s east coast. The warm and welcoming staff and lovely food will make your stay memorable.
Comfort - This is our lead in category. There will generally be a no frills approach and while some will be characterful, some will do exactly what it says on the tin - provide a clean, comfortable and good value place to spend the night. These places are normally 3* hotels.
