Arika Boutique Villa ,
Sri Lanka, Cultural Triangle
Info : Arika Boutique Villa
You’ll find Arika Boutique Villa halfway between Dambulla and Sigiriya. This relaxing hotel is set against a stretch of forest, full of bird species and complemented by a babbling stream that runs close by. Naturally, the hotel has been designed with the environment in mind. Expect a feeling of privacy and tranquillity coupled with good service.
One of Arika’s best assets is its fabulous location. its in close proximity to Sigiriya and around half an hour away from Anuradhapura. Do the Ancient Kingdom of Polonnaruwa as a half-day excursion, and come back to the property to take advantage of the pool and sauna at sundown.
There are nine en-suite rooms in total, and all are spacious and nicely decorated. All feature private terraces that overlook the gardens or the stream.
Some peculiarities won’t appeal to everyone: the restaurant serves a set menu, rather than a-la-carte dining, but there is plenty of choice. Also, be aware that you can’t buy alcohol at Arika Boutique Villa, but the hotel encourages guests to bring their own. If you’re not put off by having to BYO, Arika Boutique Villa is a peaceful and convenient place to rest your head while exploring some of the most fascinating heritage sites along the Cultural Triangle.
Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
The Ellerton and Apa Villa were excellent. Chaaya Village as expected. The Hideaway room could have been cleaner. Otherwise excellent.
