Sri Lanka, Cultural Triangle
Info : Brook Boutique
The Brook Boutique Hotel & Spa is nestled amongst 80 acres of mango, coconut, banana and cashew groves.
This stylish hotel has beautiful views across the Sri Lankan countryside. The superior rooms and chalets, all looking out over the lush valley, have oversized beds, large plasma screen televisions and great bathrooms fully stocked with toiletries. The Chalets enjoy a private garden with plunge pools/Jacuzzis and if all the relaxation is too much for you, your own individual cross-trainer.
When it comes to dining you have a couple of options, a rarity for a hotel of this compact size. The more casual, open-air, Mountain View, restaurant offers great ambience and views whereas the fine dining, Butterflies, is a treat for the taste-buds.
Rather unusually, the pool here is located at the top of the hill – possibly not great for those with mobility issues – but the breath-taking views over the estate and nearby mountain range when you get to the top are well worth the climb. Alternatively, take a dip in the freshwater stream by the Country Spa, followed by a full body massage, sauna or flower soak.
This hotel provides a fantastic break in the journey from Colombo to the Cultural Triangle or East Coast. Speak to one of our advisors to find out how it can be included in your itinerary.
Luxury - Luxury hotels would have a superb level of service, very comfortable and usually spacious bedrooms, excellent food, great design and character. For us, when we visited, these places all had the 'wow factor'. A luxury hotel should satisfy the criteria of the most discerning clients.
We called Harriet in the UK and asked to move to a hotel with more facilities or closer to town. Our request was relayed through Colombo to the manager and resulted in a visit from the owner asking how he could make our stay better.
