Around a 40-minute drive outside central Kandy, Flame Tree sits on a hilltop and overlooks the captivating Sri Lankan countryside. Developed and managed by David, his dream of owning a hotel in Sri Lanka began on holiday with Experience Travel Group, and he has since been providing travellers with charming, memorable accommodation. The team of staff offers warm, friendly service to ensure you feel relaxed at all times, aided by three adorable miniature schnauzers who live around the property, too!
Spend your time swimming in the beautiful infinity pool, unwinding with a yoga lesson or curling up with a good book in the extensive library. Delicious fusion meals are served throughout the day, with much of the produce sourced from their own garden.
Rooms are unique, light and filled with character. A definite highlight is the floor-to-ceiling windows that bring light into the room and provide you with views of the tropical surroundings. Wooden furnishings, polished cement floors and modern bathrooms make them a lovely place to retreat to.
In all, Flame Tree is a peaceful haven where you will be well looked after. It is reasonably priced and especially suited to travellers who prefer boutique, relaxed accommodation.
