Relaxation and good food are the order of the day at this idyllic spot. Breakfast and dinner can be taken at the time that suits you, either from the privacy of your room or in the restaurant that overlooks the lake – a particularly stunning spot at sunrise and sunset. Local cuisine is the speciality, but there are also several fusion dishes. Guests can opt for a traditional English breakfast or the lighter, fruit-filled Sri Lankan option.
Lake Lodge Kandalama has twelve modern, air-conditioned rooms with attached bathrooms with running hot water. Each has a large balcony from which guests can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the hills of Mihintale in the distance.
